What a strong day for the Huskies!
Houston Baptist University Women’s Basketball team took on the University of Southwest Mustangs Tuesday night, in the Sharp Gymnasium in Houston. The Huskies had no problems with the Mustangs, scoring 100 points and defeating them 100-57.
From the looks of it, the Mustangs didn’t have a strong chance from the beginning. The Huskies led the game 28-8 in the first quarter. Six Huskies scored in double digits last night. Senior Sophie Taylor led the way with 21 points, followed by senior Amanda Johnson with 18 points, junior Shannon Jones with 15 points, and sophomores Taylor Kollomorgen and Megan Valdez-Crader with 11 points each. HBU led at the half 47-26.
The Huskies cruised their way to a 4-2 record, 1st in the Southland Conference. They take on North Texas on Dec. 5 in Denton.
