Titans vs. Texans week 12
Last Meeting: (Week 2: September 16, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee. Titans def. Texans 20-17)
Looking for revenge!
That’s the theme of today’s game as the Texans look to even the season series against Tennessee today. Though on a 7 game win streak, the Titans are one of the teams who beat the Texans earlier this season.
Back then, the Texans were a different team. Deshaun Watson, as well as JJ Watt, was still trying to get healthy. The entire defense was trying to learn how to play with each other as well. Though the Titans defeated the Texans earlier this season, I expect this time around to be different.
On paper, both teams are talented, especially on the defensive side. Both teams are ranked top 10 in yards allowed on defense, as well as top 5 in points allowed. However, the offensive side is a different story. The Texans are ranked 13th in total yards on offense, while the Titans are ranked 30th. The Texans are also ranked 16th in points per game, while the Titans are ranked 28th.
If the Texans want to win this game, they will have to put up points on the Titans. They cannot allow the Titans to stick around and make this a defensive game, though the Texans have proven to be able to win one-score games. If the Texans can find a way to score 24+ points today, they should be able to win this game. It’s obvious that the Titan’s can’t score consistently, so the Texans offense need to be on their A-game today.
This game will go only one way today. The Texans owner just died, the Titans were one of the few teams to actually beat the Texans this year, and it’s a MONDAY NIGHT GAME IN THE NRG! Every Texans fan knows that the Titans shouldn’t have beaten them, but they won’t be let off the hook today. Here is what’s going to happen.
The Texans will control the Titans
There’s going to be a lot of emotion this game. The NRG should be rocking today as this game begins a 3-home game stretch. I expect the game to be close the first half, only for the Texans to take control of the game in the second. I predict another defensive TD for the Texans this game that will literally blow the roof off of NRG Stadium and fly onto 610 North. Luckily, I should be home from work before that actually happens. After that, the Texans will be in control for the rest of the game. Look for the Texans to extend their win streak unto 8 games and to make NFL history once again.
FINAL SCORE: Titans 13 Texans 24
