New York Yankees’ outfielder Aaron Judge will be out for three weeks due to a wrist injury.
According to ESPN‘s Coley Harvey, New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is expected to miss at least three weeks due to a fractured chip in his right wrist. Judge, who is in the running for league MVP honors, suffered the wrist injury in the first-inning of the Yankees 7-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals.
Harvey reported that Judge was rush to a hospital following the injury and is expected to undergo an MRI for farther testing.
Without their best player, the Yankees will need to find a way to move up the American League as they current stand 65-36, trailing only the Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox for first place. New York cannot afford to lose any ground in Judge absence as they only stand a few games ahead of the Seattle Mariners and Oakland Athletics.
The reigning American League Rookie of the Year and Silver Slugger award winner is batting .283 with 26 homers and 61 RBI this season.
