After four years playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James is now heading to the Los Angeles Lakers on a four-year deal.

After four years playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James is now heading to the Los Angeles Lakers on a four-year deal.

It has been rumored for years and now it is a reality, LeBron James has signed a four-year deal to become a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. James joins an historic list of legends who have worn the purple and gold that includes: Jerry West, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kobe Bryant.

Despite playing at 33 years, James is coming off his most remarkable season in recent memory. He played all 82 regular season games where he averaged 27.5 points, 9.1 assists, and 8.6 rebounds per game.

In the mist of losing three all-stars at the trading deadline (Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose, Isaiah Thomas), James led the dysfunctional Cavaliers to the NBA Finals where they loss to the Golden State Warriors in four games.

Since Paul George has resigned with the Thunder and the Spurs are still holding out on a trade with Kawhi Leonard, James will have to wait and see who his new teammates will be in the coming days.

However, it did not take long for one of James’ former foes to become his new LA teammates. According to ESPN reporters, the Lakers have signed JaVale McGee and Lance Stephenson following the signing of James.
